Time stamp on threads

Is there a specific reason as to why the threads don't show the correct date and time? To me it would make it a lot easier to read the forums when you can tell a thread/post has been created.

ok, must be my settings as I only see 17 09 2013 for every post.

ah that works, i was set to custom for some reason, thanks i did not see that option.
